Coronavirus (COVID-19): latest information and advice
If you have returned to the UK from any of these areas in the last 14 days and develop symptoms of cough or fever or shortness of breath, you should immediately:
Stay indoors and avoid contact with other people as you would with the flu
Call NHS 111 to inform them of your recent travel to the country and await further instructions.
Republic of Korea
Please follow this advice even if your symptoms are minor.
Please do NOT visit the doctor's surgery as you could put other patients at risk.

Launching 1st July 2019 (Hastings old town only)
At Hastings old town surgery, we are actively looking for ways to improve the patient experience. Based on patient feedback, one of the key areas which we have been working on includes the effectiveness of our appointment booking system.
With added efficiency in the appointment booking system, we aim to save you time away from family and work commitments and to eliminate the stressful first come first serve system.
With the current system, many patients are not able to book appointments when they are required due to a morning call rush, and many appointments are being booked which don’t actually require a face to face consultation;
With the Triage system we can be much more effective with your care plan. We will be eliminating the first come first serve system and opening our phone lines from 8:30am until 3pm with a guaranteed contact from our GP on the same day!
The Triage GP will contact each patient and discuss the issue to determine an appropriate course of action. If the issue cannot be dealt with on the phone, an appointment with a GP, Nurse Practitioner or Practice Nurse will be made.
If patient demand is excessive, only Emergency Issues will be placed on the Triage List. This is essential in order to manage patient demand and ensure safe and effective clinical care.
Once all of the appointments have been filled, the Triage GP will see any patients requiring a face to face appointment.
The Receptionist will not be able to give any timescales as to when the Triage GP will phone a patient as the GP will continuously monitor the list and call back patients in order of clinical priority.

Please enquire at reception on how to get set up for the online Patient Access service. All you need to do is register at the surgery and then download the app, so that you can access pharmacy services & medical content. (The appointment booking function is currently suspended due to our clinical triage system.)
We are now offering extended evening and weekend services for our patients! Please ask at reception for more information.
As part of our clinical triage system, our trained reception team will collect the relevant information from you based on your requirements and ensure you receive the correct treatment first time.
